HTC Launches India’s First Android Powered Mobile Phone

HTC launches India’s first Android powered Mobile under the brand name HTC Magic. Android powered mobile phones were launched in Oct 2008 at US  by HTC and marketed as T-Mobiles but the initial release had several vulnerabilities in the firmware, However the Android 1.5 release were made free from these flaws and allows functionality such as video recording, stereo Bluetooth and an on-screen keyboard to run smooth.

HTC Magic is launced in India and marketed by Airtel as the service provider, Mobile unit is slightly priced higher in India Rs 29,900 (~$600), Airtel provides 100MB of free data per month for a period of 6 months for HTC users.
